Do the dang thing! It’s Whole30 Time!

What is a Whole30?

The Whole30 is a 30 day detox (created by Melissa Urban) on your body for 30 days. You eat whole or “natural foods” for 30 whole days. The goal is to reset your body’s cravings from unnatural sugar and empty carbohydrates. It takes 30 days for your body to create a new habit, so therefore….30 days it is! You get the opportunity to  focus on all the good things you can eat for 30 awesome days!

Why do a Whole30?

There are so many benefits. Some physical and some psychological. Some of the physical side effects I have experienced are clearer skin, weight loss, a healthy shift in my appetite and a new relationship with food. My relationship with food changed years ago after doing my first whole30 in a positive way. I now look at food as fuel for my body and am more careful with what I put into it. I hope you gain this same new knowledge when you do your first whole30!

There is no expectation for eating this way for the rest of your life, but it is a great jumpstart to a new healthy lifestyle. Hopefully it leads you to a healthy balance with food and ultimately,  food freedom. Whole30’s are far from easy, but the mental strength you gain from doing a whole30 makes the experience entirely worth it.

If these things sound great to you….It’s time to get started!

I am starting my 6th Whole30 on March 1st and invite all of you to join me!

I have some great blog posts coming with my favorite whole30 recipes following this one, some of my personal experiences with doing the whole30 (successes and failures) and some great tips and tricks to get us through this together! Email or DM me (@thebloominghive OR feel free to drop me an email or a comment under my “let’s work together” section of my website) any questions you may have about getting started, I am happy to help!

One last bit of good news!

Spring is just around the corner, I hope my bees emerge in the next few weeks! My little friends will be out and about before we all know it! I am so grateful for my little friends, they work so hard for us.
